Winners of the Oleksandr Prize have been announced

Doing good is certainly one of the best strategies for maintaining human relations in society and for the healthy functioning of humanity as a whole. Perhaps everyone is capable of small daily good deeds, the list of which we have known since childhood, but only special ones are capable of great good. They are called heroes, their names will be engraved in history.

On October 4, the solemn awarding of the Oleksandr Prize took place in the assembly hall of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University. This prize was founded by philanthropist Oleksandr Boguslaev to honor Zaporizhzhia residents who have shown the most humane sides of the human soul. The symbol of the prize was an eagle, the prototype of which was found in a Scythian burial in the Voznesenka area. At the end of the holiday, each nominee-winner received a small copy of this eagle.

With the support of the student government of ZNTU, public organizations «Fund of Good Deeds» and «Zaporozhsky Vector» held a festive concert, during which the winners were determined in seven nominations: «Second Mother», «Ambassador of Good Will», «Good Deed», «It’s good to help», «Thanks for the kind word», «Doctor from God» and «Special feat». The honored Zaporizhzhia residents were personally awarded by Deputy Mayor Yurii Kaptyukh, Vice-Rector of ZNTU Volodymyr Prushkivskyi, Head of the Zhovtnevo District Administration Oleksandr Manokhin and other distinguished guests. Dance groups, vocalists and the team of the KVK «Zaporizhzhia Vector – Machine-ZNTU» performed for those present.

Not everyone is destined to become a hero in life, but no one knows for sure the name of someone who is capable of a feat. Therefore, let’s assume that anyone has a chance to go down in history for their nobility. Every day we do small good deeds, and who knows, maybe tomorrow they will grow into great Good.
