Elections of the new chairman of the student council of dormitory No. 4

On November 12, 2013, the elections of the chairman of the student council of dormitory No. 4 of ZNTU were held in the Center for Student Self-Government in dormitory No. 4.

Five candidates submitted written applications for the position of the new chairman: Koshelyuk Ruslan Olegovich (E-410), Mishchenko Volodymyr Volodymyrovich (E-311), Lakota Dmytro Stanislavovich (FEU-612), Ishutinov Yevhen Oleksandrovych (IF-312), Ivanytskyi Nazariy Stepanovych (E-212).

The following respected people were present, who became members of the conference presidium: Ivanchenko Andriy Volodymyrovich – Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Students, Postgraduates and Doctoral Students of ZNTU, Keda Vadim Serhiyovych – Deputy Director of the ZNTU Campus, Ignashov Valeriy Valeriyovych – Head of Dormitory No. 4, Antonov Mykola Leonidovich – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Deev Serhiy Georgiyovych – Responsible for the Work in the Dormitory from the Electrical Engineering Dean’s Office. The following were elected to the counting commission: Pokotilo Yana Vasylivna – Chairman of the counting commission, Tsesko Artem Igorovich – Secretary of the counting commission, and Vishnytska Olha Leonidivna was elected Secretary of the Conference.

The previous beloved head of the student council of dormitory #4, Ivan Dashko, commented on his report for the work performed for three years as follows: "In November 2010, I was accepted for the post of chairman of the student council. Together with my deputies Oleksandr Anosov, Ruslan Koshelyuk, and the head of the hostel, we updated the composition of the student council, the schedule of on-call duty, on the block. In 2010, 2012, a competition was held for the best room, in 2012 – the best block elder. In the spring of 2011, a subbotnik was held, which took place not only on the territory of dormitory No. 4, but also on the territory of the park zone near the 4th academic building of ZNTU. The biggest achievement was our parties. Every year their organization and level became better and better. If the first party was held with one speaker, a sound engineer from the CCDS, lights off and a modest budget, today we have two DJs, light music and good audio equipment. We also held football tournaments «Stugorodok Autumn Cup» 2012 and 2013 with the participation of students and the second hostel of ZNTU.

This, of course, is not the highest level that could be reached, but in some aspects we were better than other hostels.

All members of the presidium praised the work of Ivan Dashko. Andrii Volodymyrovych Ivanchenko thanked him and awarded him with a commemorative watch from the trade union committee of students of ZNTU.

The elections were attended by the elders of all blocks, who in turn are members of the dormitory student council and were elected delegates of the reporting and electoral conference with the right to vote. On special ballots, they voted for the person they would like to see as the head of the dormitory student council. Each candidate made a pre-election speech to the delegates regarding the nearest plans of the student council and directions of dormitory development. The ballots were collected by the counting commission into a sealed ballot box to count the number of votes for a particular candidate. According to the results of the vote, Koshelyuk R.O. and Mishchenko V.V. received the same number of votes. As a result, a repeated, but already open vote was held, after which the name of the newly elected head of the student council of dormitory No. 4 of ZNTU became known. He became Volodymyr Mishchenko, who spoke before the conference with a speech already as the head of the student council of the dormitory: «I am very happy and grateful to all those who voted for me.» I am confident that I will not let you down and I will do everything possible that depends on me, and together with you we will definitely raise our hostel to a new level.

Ivan Dashko congratulated the newly elected head of the student council and expressed his wishes to Volodymyr: «First of all, you can’t lose what has already been achieved in previous years and maintain the level, but at the same time develop further.» There is always room to grow. Success and good luck. Democracy has won!».

The Student Council of Dormitory No. 4 expresses its gratitude to the conference delegates for the work done and the well-founded choice.
