All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty «Electrical Systems of Power Consumption» 2017

April 25-27, 2017 on the basis of the Department of «Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises» of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 1495 dated 09.12.2016  The guests of the university, organizers and students-participants of the Olympiad were greeted by the rector, Prof. Belikov S.B., vice-rector for scientific work, Prof. Naumyk V.V., dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Antonov M.L. and head of the department «Power supply of industrial enterprises», Prof. Metelsky V.P. and wished success in solving the tasks of the Olympiad, and also that the strongest will win!

The Olympiad was attended by 63 participants, representing 24 higher educational institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation from all regions of Ukraine.

The Olympiad participants were offered to solve 5 tasks on: power supply of industrial enterprises; electrical networks and systems; electromagnetic transient processes; relay protection and automation; mathematical problems of energy.

On April 27, the Olympiad was officially closed and the winners were awarded. According to the results of the work of the Olympiad jury members, the prizes were distributed as follows:

1st place – Sobko Yevheniy Mykhailovych, student of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University;

2nd place – Gerasimov Vasyl Yaroslavovych, student of Ternopil Ivan Pulyuy National Technical University;

II place – Yurchenko Viktor Oleksiyovych, student of the Kharkiv National University of Urban Economy named after O.M. Beketov;

III place – Lyubartsev Vadym Volodymyrovych, student of the Pryazovsky State Technical University;

III place – Dudina Mariia Petrovna, student of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University;

III place – Batyh Ivan Grigorovich, student of the National University «Lviv Polytechnic»;

III place – Kovalenko Oleksandr Serhiyovych, student of the Sumy State University.

In addition to the diplomas of the winners, the student participants of the Olympiad received certificates for active participation, and the teachers received letters of thanks.

In the team competition:

I place – team of the National University of Food Technologies;

1st place – team of the National University of Water Management and Environmental Management;

2nd place – team of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»;

2nd place – team of the Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan;

2nd place – team of the National Mining University;

3rd place – team of the National University of Life Resources and Environmental Management of Ukraine;

3rd place – team of the Vinnytsia National Technical University;

3rd place – team of the Kryvyi Rih National University;

3rd place – team of Lutsk National Technical University.

As part of the event, the participants of the Olympiad, guests of our city, had the opportunity to visit the Dniprovsk Hydroelectric Power Plant with an excursion, as well as the Boguslaev Museum of Technology.

Therefore, the Olympiad contributed not only to the further creative and professional growth of its participants, but also became a time for getting acquainted with the famous Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, the city of Zaporizhzhia.
