Visit to the orphanage «Hope»
On December 19, on St. Mykola Day, every child wakes up with the hope of finding sweet gifts under their pillow. This holiday is a symbol of human hope and faith in the happy future of every child. This religious celebration has acquired special meaning for children. According to tradition, if a child has been obedient and polite throughout the year, he receives a gift, and naughty ones are waiting for a twig with a request to correct their behavior next year. Unfortunately, not every child has a family to whom they could give a gift this holiday.
That is why the students of «Mashinka» could not help but congratulate the pupils of the Orthodox orphanage «Hope». Representatives of the Social Protection Commission of the Trade Union Committee of ZNTU students visited the children not empty-handed, but with gifts and a festive program. The students created a fabulous atmosphere for the children: competitions were held and skits were staged, where the children participated with enthusiasm in their eyes.
Despite the fact that ZNTU activists are not the first to congratulate the pupils of schools, boarding schools, and orphanages, every time, watching the performance of these children, tears appear in their eyes. After all, you will not see such sincerity and such diligence at any holiday.
On St. Mykola Day, the students tried to become a little magicians and gave the children joy, care, and attention, because they can’t expect this from anyone.
So we congratulate everyone on St. Mykola Day and wish you a pleasant New Year!
