Visit of the university delegation to Azerbaijan and continuation of work on the WORK4CE project
On October 26-28, a coordination meeting for the WORK4CE project and pilot training for project participants took place in Baku (Azerbaijan).
The National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” was represented by Vice-Rector for Research Professor Shalomeyev Vadym, WORK4CE project coordinator Professor Tabunshchyk Halyna, project participants Professor Karpenko Andriy and Associate Professor Plynokos Dmytro.
NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” is a grantholder of the WORK4CE project Cross-domain competencies for ensuring healthy and safe work in the 21st century (Erasmus+ 619034-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), therefore, the project management meeting and discussion of the results of the first part of the project implementation were especially important. The project coordinator, Professor Tabunshchyk Galina, held meetings with all representatives of the consortium, where issues of project activity, reporting preparation, and financing of activities were discussed.
During the coordination meetings, official visits were made to universities in Azerbaijan, including the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, the Azerbaijan University of Construction and Architecture, and the Academy of the State Customs Service of Azerbaijan. They met with the university leadership and discussed the prospects for further cooperation.
At the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Vice-Rector, Professor Shalomeyev Vadim, and Project Coordinator, Professor Tabunshchyk Galina met with the University Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli, and discussed issues of developing cooperation within the project. Particular attention was paid to interaction with stakeholders and business representatives. At the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, a meeting of the project coordinator, Professor Galina Tabunshchyk and Professor Andriy Karpenko with business representatives in a B2B format was also held, at which ways of involving representatives of the Azerbaijani industry and representatives of the Zaporizhzhia IAM 4.0 cluster in the WORK4CE project were discussed.
At the Azerbaijan University of Construction and Architecture, representatives of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic project discussed the development of international and scientific cooperation with the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Professor Abdulayeva N. and Vice-Rector for Scientific Activities, Professor Aslanova N.
The meeting at the Academy of the State Customs Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also productive, where a ceremonial meeting was held with all project participants, representatives of the national Erasmus office of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education, and the Deputy Head of the Customs Service of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the high level of project management and planned implementation of project indicators were assessed. A long-term bilateral cooperation agreement was concluded between the National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic” and the Academy of the State Customs Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Vice-Rector Shalomeyev Vadim conveyed the warmest greetings from the Rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic – Professor Viktor Greshta and emphasized the university’s exceptional interest in the development of international activities, the launch of new joint projects at our universities.
During the project meetings at the Azerbaijan University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Professor Karpenko Andriy and Associate Professor Plynokos Dmytro gave lectures on innovative development and project management.
Professor Tabunshchyk Galyna gave a course of lectures at partner universities on the topics of online learning and open educational resources.
All meetings during the project were informative and had practical significance in establishing long-term bilateral and multilateral ties between Zaporizhia Polytechnic and universities in Azerbaijan.
