Congratulations to the national team of Ukraine in step aerobics with a significant victory – the 3rd place in the European Championship in Italy!

Italy hosted the 10th European Aerobics Championship. The national team of Ukraine at the continental championship was represented by a team made up of students of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University. Oleksandr Podopryhora, Kseniia Bryuzhgina, Daria Gutsalyuk, Kateryna Cherkez, Daria Subotina and Volodymyr Vykhodtsev from Zaporizhzhia competed for European Championship medals, Oleksandra Mokhort and Valeria Simeniy from Zhytomyr, Kateryna Velikodnya from Sumy and Volodymyr Doroshenko from Kyiv, under the guidance of a well-known expert from Zaporizhzhia, Honored Trainer of Ukraine in Sports Aerobics Svitlana Atamanyuk.

In all types of the program, the Ukrainian team made it to the top 10. Our national team was seventh in group performance, sixth in «dance». And she achieved the greatest success in the «aerostep», where, having scored 17,450 points, the girls won bronze medals.

In addition to the awards, the athletes brought home a license to participate in the European Games, which will be hosted by Belarus in 2019.

Remember, this year the same team represented Ukraine at the World Games in Wroclaw, and took fourth place.
