In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, on March 12-15, 2018, the 2nd stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad «Electrical Machines and Devices» was held at the Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi Kremenchuk National University.
The Olympiad was attended by 4th-year students representing 10 higher educational institutions of Ukraine that provide training in this and related specialties. Zaporizhzhia National Technical University was represented in this competition by students of the departments «Electrical and Electronic Devices» and «Electric Machines».
On the first day of the Olympiad, the participants were offered theoretical round problems that were solved in writing. On the second day, a practical round was held to solve the problems using a computer.
The topics of the competition tasks covered issues considered in the courses «Theoretical Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering», «Electric Machines», «Electrical Devices», «Automated Design of Electrical Machines and Devices», «Mathematical Modeling of Electrical Machines and Devices», «Automated Electric Drive» and «Testing, Repair and Operation of Electrical Machines and Devices» for the specialty «Electrical Machines and Devices».
Most of the students who participated in the Olympiad showed a high level of preparation in the disciplines on the basis of which the competition tasks were composed.
Based on the analysis of the competition works of the participants, the jury of the Olympiad decided to award a diploma for the 3rd place in the individual competition in the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad «Electrical Machines and Devices» to the student of group E-424 Baslyk Yevhen Oleksandrovych.
Diplomas in the individual competition for participation in the 2nd round of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad «Electrical Machines and Devices» were received by students of the department «Electrical and Electronic Devices» Chepurny Vladislav (group E-414) and Yakovenko Roman (group E-414) and the department «Electrical Machines» Solodov Vladislav (E-226sp) and Kachan Ihor (E-215sp).
