Congratulations to the winner of the International Student Olympiad in Information Technologies «IT-UNIVERSE 2013/2014»
In June 2014, ZNTU student – Shadrin Serhiy Ihorovych (Faculty of Radio Electronics and Telecommunications, Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications) – multiple laureate of the «IT-PLANETA» Olympiad, took part in the finals of the International Student Olympiad in Information Technology «IT-UNIVERSE 2013/2014», which was held in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Astana at the Nazarbayev base University. The student took 3rd place.
More than 150 universities (more than 1,500 students) from Ukraine, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus and Azerbaijan competed for the right to meet at the International Olympiad final.
The Olympiad «IT-Universe 2014» included 6 competitions and took place in 4 stages:
- online testing (started on October 1, 2013);
- intramural stages: regional, national and international.
More than 100 students from more than 35 universities were invited to participate in the finals of the Olympiad.
The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts from the Olympiad partners.
Participation in the Olympiad allowed students to improve their professional level (in the process of preparation, solving tasks and analyzing decisions together with the jury), the opportunity to communicate and exchange experiences, as well as cultural exchange with representatives of other countries.
Next year, the international final of the Olympiad will be held in the capital of Azerbaijan – Baku.
We would like to express our great thanks to the rector of ZNTU Serhiy Belikov for his caring and sensitive attitude to the organization of our student’s participation in the Olympiad, to Oleksandr Vyacheslavovich Boguslaev for the financial support of the trip, as well as to the student’s scientific supervisor Denys Viktorovich Belikov, an assistant at the Department of Information Protection!
The motto of the Olympiad was the slogan «Let’s create the IT UNIVERSE». Student Serhii Shadrin took a direct part in the organization of the Olympiad by improving the functionality of the Olympiad website.
We wish the students of our university to join and participate in the Olympiad next year!
