Congratulations to the winner of the All-Ukrainian Character Design Competition!
The All-Ukrainian Character Design Competition was held at Khmelnytskyi National University, and was attended by students of the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design: Kateryna Yaremenko (BAD-532), Anastasiia Ochkovska (BAD-533) and Oleksandra Filimonova (BAD-533).
50 works were submitted for participation in the competition, which were divided into three categories: «Character of a Literary Work», «Character of a Video Game» and «Character of a Brand». Among the participants are students from leading universities from different parts of Ukraine: Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy.
The jury included leading figures of culture and arts, including the Honored Artist of Ukraine, a member of the board of the Ukrainian Film Academy, a producer/director, animator, illustrator, designer, director of the film «Mavka. Forest Song« Oleh Malomuzh, President of the Screenwriters Guild of Ukraine, academician of the Ukrainian Film Academy Andriy Babik and production designer, character designer of the animated films »Mykyta Kozhumyaka« (Golden Spinning Wheel 2017) and »Gulliver Returns«, director of the animated series »Woof and Joy«, director of 95 Animation Studio and Karandash Animation Studio Serhiy Mogilny.
According to the results of the competition, the victory in the »Brand Character” nomination went to our student Kateryna Yaremenko with the mascot Icey for the ice arena brand. The winner was prepared by senior lecturer of the design department Hanna Potapenko.
