Congratulations to our heroes!
On February 24, 2018, the Ukrainian Kettlebell Championship among students was held in Kyiv according to the rules of the Ukrainian Kettlebell Federation. Our athletes, students of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, performed «excellently» in the individual events!
The winners of the competition were:
– Master of Sports of Ukraine Davydenko Mykhailo (IF-213m) in the weight category up to 90kg in the long cycle with a result of 84 lifts;
– Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine Orin Ruslan (E-417) in the weight category up to 60kg in the long cycle with a result of 51 lifts. The weight of the kettlebells is 24 kg.
The bronze medalist was Mykytyuk Karina (FSN-217) in the weight category up to 60 kg, in the snatch of the 16 kg kettlebell with a result of 69 times and unexpectedly for everyone she overtook more experienced rivals. A very promising and purposeful athlete began her sports career quite recently, but in three months she has achieved impressive results!
Athletes train in the ZNTU national team for kettlebell sports under the guidance of senior lecturers of the Department of Physical Culture, Olympic and Non-Olympic Sports (FKONVS) Zhuravlev Yurii Gennadiyovych and Remeshevsky Oleksandr Volodymyrovych.
In the power juggling category, a student of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University Yarovy Vladislav (T-426sp) set another record for Ukraine.
According to the conditions of the record, the athlete was required to perform blindfolded juggling of two kettlebells weighing 16 kg each with a counter rotation in the sagittal plane within one minute. The record was successfully set with a result of 27 rotations. Vladyslav became a two-time record holder of Ukraine!
The athlete trains under the guidance of senior lecturers of the FKONVS department, Remeshevsky Oleksandr Volodymyrovych and Shcherbiy Serhiy Anatoliyovych.
