Congratulations to the ZNTU_SetUp team on reaching the semifinals of the ACM International Student Programming Olympiad

From September 10 to September 12, 2013, the II stage (semifinal) of the All-Ukrainian ACM Student Programming Olympiad for the Southern region (AR Crimea, Sevastopol, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kherson regions) was held at the Tavrichesky National University (Simferopol).

The II stage of the Olympiad is also the quarterfinal of the ACM International Student Programming Olympiad. The next stage? the final of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad ACM, which is also the semi-final of the International Student Programming Olympiad ACM, which will be held on October 10-13 in Vinnytsia and Bucharest.

45 teams that passed the selection at the regional stage, which was held on April 20, 2013, were invited to participate in the Olympiad. Thanks to the support of the student trade union, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University was represented by 4 teams at the Olympiad: ZNTU_SetUp (Zadorozhny Evgeny Vitaliyevich, Bezsonov Andriy Georgiyevich, Kosarenko Viktoriya Gennadiyivna, KNT-411, 3rd year), ZNTU_BBTeam (Kurson Serhiy Olegovich, KNT-710, 4th year, Smirnov Oleksiy Serhiyevich, Totsky Vladislav Konstantinovich, KNT-410, 4th year), ZNTU_SqrT (Bilka Rodion Oleksandrovych, Ilyin Vladislav Serhiyevich, Paliy Oleksandr Yuriyevich, KNT-410, 4th year) and ZNTU_ByteShift (Grishyn Mykyta Vyacheslavovich, Naumenko Serhiy Eduardovich, Shatokhin Danylo Serhiyevich KNT-412, 2nd year).

According to the conditions of the Olympiad, the teams performed from 8 to 12 tasks of varying complexity for 5 hours on on one computer. The program verification was performed automatically using the ejudge system in on-line mode: the source code of the program was compiled, tested, and if the verification was successful, the program was credited. Solving the task was limited by time and memory capacity.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the ZNTU_SetUp team performed excellently and received the right to represent Zaporizhzhia National Technical University in the semi-finals of the International Student Olympiad in ASM Programming.
