A great feat – forever in the hearts!
Preserving peace on Earth – this is one of the most important tasks of humanity for the sake of life! Life is love, goodness, perspective – all the most beautiful things that 71 years ago were revived and given to us by respected and dear veterans.
During the most terrible war in the history of mankind, day after day in the rear and at the front, our ancestors, not sparing their youth and lives, defended the Fatherland, fought with all their might for a peaceful sky over their native blooming land!
How much grief and loss fell to the lot of people? It’s scary to imagine! But they survived! And still the memory of great feats lives in the hearts of the participants of those terrible events and, of course, in the hearts of their descendants.
Therefore, every year until May 9, we must pay special attention to the Great Victory over fascism, remembering all those who nurtured it, and at what price it was won!
On May 5, on the eve of the Great Victory over fascism Day, with the support of the administration and the trade union committee of students, a solemn meeting of veterans and participants of the hostilities was held at Zaporizhzhia National Technical University. In a warm company, our heroes remembered the past years, received congratulations from the university administration and went to a festive dinner with creative gifts from the Center for Culture and Leisure of ZNTU. Such meetings are extremely important, because every year there are fewer and fewer veterans, and we are obliged to carry the memory of the priceless, greatest feat through the years!
Also on May 5 in the morning, ZNTU students, at the initiative of the ZNTU student trade union committee, took part in a rally near the monument to Motorists, laying a wreath on May 6 at the monument to the Yatsenko crew, a solemn rally-requiem dedicated to the 71st anniversary of the Great Victory was held. Zaporizhzhia residents remembered and honored the memory by laying flowers at the monument, swearing never to forget those who gave us a peaceful sky! On the initiative of the ZNTU student trade union committee and «Mashynkivtsi» together with compatriots took part in the celebration.
Let’s remember the Great Deed of our glorious ancestors! Let’s try to live and work for peace on Earth!
