Importantly! A new specialty of the Department of Marketing
In 2016, the Department of Marketing begins recruitment for the new specialty 076 «Entrepreneurship, trade and stock exchange activity» with the educational program «Organization of trade and commercial logistics». This specialty is one of the most in demand on the labor market not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.
Trade is a branch of the economy that performs the functions of circulation of goods (ensures their movement from the sphere of production to the sphere of consumption), that is, trade is a commercial activity involving the turnover, purchase and sale of goods. Trade as an attribute of any society exists in all economic formations and reflects the level of development of commodity-money relations. Trade is carried out by companies specializing in the sale or resale of goods for profit. This type of activity is called commercial. That is why business structures engaged in trade and trade and intermediary activities are called commercial structures. However, not only specialized enterprises are engaged in commercial activities today. Today, effective organization of trade is impossible without the use of commercial logistics.
Commercial logistics is a process that includes a complex of actions related to planning, management, implementation and control over the movement of goods, information, financial and service flows, combined into a single logistics system from production enterprises to the retail trade network with the aim of maximally satisfying consumer demand and obtaining profit for market counterparties and intermediary structures.
Logistics is a synthetic specialty. On the one hand, logisticians are economists, managers, suppliers. They have to organize the purchase, transportation, storage and sale of products. On the other hand, logisticians must have serious mathematical training in order to develop optimal schemes for the delivery and storage of goods. In addition, the logistician needs to have an idea of the branch of material production that his firm or enterprise serves.
Logistics is an important component of modern business, which is dynamically developing. This interesting and sought-after job attracts young and energetic people with its perspective. After all, a logistician will never be without a job. Where there is logistics, there will always be vacancies for a true specialist. A professional logistician is a system integrator that provides a combination of the main functions of logistics (cargo processing, warehousing, transportation, supply, distribution, management of purchases, orders, stocks, etc.) into a single business process of the enterprise; coordinates and optimizes the activities of the company’s structural divisions and its partners.
Positions that this specialty allows you to hold: commercial director; business economist; specialists and managers of purchasing, sales, logistics departments of industrial and trade enterprises, transport forwarding companies, etc.; experts-consultants on issues of logistics (logistics consulting and outsourcing), on issues of organization of wholesale and retail trade; trade marketers, etc.
