The International IT Championship of Computer Talents «Golden Byte-2015» is Launching in Ukraine
On October 15, 2014, registration for participation in the Student Championship of Computer Talents «Golden Byte» started. The competition is aimed at young, talented students and graduates who aspire to realize themselves in the field of IT technologies, design and communications. The prize fund is 500 thousand hryvnias.
«Golden Byte» is the largest open Championship in Ukraine for talented young people who are passionate about IT technologies. It has been held since 2007. Its mission is to support computer talents and develop the IT sector. The theme of the competition works of the «Golden Byte-2015» Championship is «Changing the World».
«Golden Byte» is a non-commercial project, participation in it is free for everyone. Participants in the International Computer Talents Championship can be schoolchildren, university students and graduates of 2013-2014. The competition provides for both individual and team participation (depending on the nomination).
Championship stages: Stage I – correspondence (on-line) – from October 15 to January 31, 2014; Stage II – regional final – from February 11 to March 1, 2015; III stage – international final (Kyiv) – over two days in April 2015.
Nominations of the «Golden Byte-2015» Championship:
- Startup challenge (software project competition).
- Networking technology (nomination for system administrators).
- Mobile development (mobile application competition).
- Game design (game creation competition).
- Character design (game character creation competition).
- Web – design (web project competition).
- Short movie (short film competition).
- NoSQL expert (competition for using the NoSQL approach in projects).
- Junior competition (competition for children 10-14 years old).
- Best in cloud (competition for projects using the Microsoft Azure service).
This year, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other countries will participate in the Championship. Last year, more than 6,000 people took part in the Championship. The Championship is held with the support of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine, in partnership with IT market leaders: Microsoft, Autodesk, Intel, InterSystems, Imperiousgroup, HappyFarm business incubator, Sterling Studio and others.
