WARNING! The next changes concerning the categories of persons entitled to receive social grants!
According to the CMU Resolution No. 81 dated February 8, 2017 «On Amending the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1045 dated December 28, 2016», the list of persons entitled to social scholarships has been supplemented with the following categories:
– disabled children and persons with disabilities of groups I-III;
– students from families receiving assistance in accordance with the Law of Ukraine «On State Social Assistance to Low-Income Families»;
– persons to whom social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for students of higher educational institutions from among orphans and children from low-income families are assigned in accordance with the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
We remind you that the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1045 dated 28.12.2016 established a new procedure for the use of funds provided in the state budget for the payment of social scholarships to students of higher educational institutions. This procedure determines the mechanism of using the funds provided for in the state budget of the Ministry of Social Policy for the payment of social scholarships to students (cadets) of higher educational institutions of the I-IV level of accreditation, who study full-time by state order.
To receive a social stipend, students apply with an application in the name of the rector to the authorized person of ZNTU regarding the payment of social stipends.
The application states the following information:
surname, first name and patronymic;
date, month, year of birth;
registered and actual place of residence;
a reason for receiving a social scholarship.
Two copies of the following documents must be attached to the application (the originals of these documents MUST be brought with you for certification)
Disabled children and persons with disabilities of I-III groups:
1. A copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
2. A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
3. A copy of the identification number, or a copy of the page in the passport with a note about the refusal of the identification number.
4. A copy of the student card.
5. A copy of a medical opinion about a disabled child under the age of 18 or a copy of a medical and social examination certificate.
Students from families receiving assistance in accordance with the Law of Ukraine «On State Social Assistance to Low-Income Families»
1. A copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
2. A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
3. A copy of the identification number, or a copy of the page in the passport with a note about the refusal of the identification number.
4. A copy of the student card.
5. A copy of the certificate of the social protection authority of the population on the appointment of family assistance in accordance with the Law of Ukraine «On state social assistance to low-income families».
Persons to whom the social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for students of higher educational institutions from among orphans and children from low-income families are assigned in accordance with the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
1. A copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
2. A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
3. A copy of the identification number, or a copy of the page in the passport with a note about the refusal of the identification number.
4. A copy of the student card.
5. A copy of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the appointment of social scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to students of higher educational institutions from among orphans and children from low-income families;
For students who apply for social scholarships between January and April 2017, these scholarships will be awarded from January 1, 2017.
Students who have the right to receive a social scholarship and acquire the right to receive an academic scholarship are given one type of scholarship of their choice.
Orphans and children deprived of parental care, and persons from their number, as well as students who were left without parents during their studies at the age of 18 to 23, may be paid a social scholarship under the conditions specified in this Order and an academic scholarship at the same time.
If a student has the right to be awarded a social scholarship simultaneously on several grounds, the social scholarship is paid according to one of the grounds chosen by the student.
