Participation of ZNTU in the international conference under the TEMPUS CERES project
Representatives of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University took part in the international scientific conference on information and digital technologies «Information and Digital Technologies – 2015» (IDT-2015), which took place on July 7-9, 2015 at the University of Žilina (city of Žilina, Slovak Republic).
The theme of the conference was devoted to the development of new methods and means of information technology and their application to solving practical problems in various fields of science, technology and medicine.
Representatives of nineteen countries took part in the conference, in particular, Japan, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, etc.
On behalf of ZNTU, the international program committee of the conference and the composition of reviewers included professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences. S. O. Subbotin, who also managed the work of the conference section.
More than 130 reports were sent to the conference organizing committee, among which less than half of the reports were selected for publication based on the results of an independent external review. Each report was reviewed by at least two reviewers. All selected reports were included in the conference collection, which will be included in the IEEE digital library and will be indexed in the leading international scientometric databases SCOPUS and Web of Science. From the seven reports from ZNTU submitted to the conference, based on the results of the review, the article «Individual prediction of hypertensive patient condition based on computational intelligence» by the staff of ZNTU, professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, was recommended for publication in the collection of works. S. O. Subbotina, associate professor, Ph.D. A. O. Oliinyk and associate professor, Ph.D. S. Yu. Skrupskyi.
Within the framework of the IDT-2015 conference, a section of young scientists also worked under the auspices of the «Centers of Excellence for young RESearchers» (CERES) project of the «TEMPUS» program of the European Commission (registration number 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHES), which included reports by young scientists of ZNTU T. Golub, T. Bragina, V. Lyovkina, T. Kolpakova, H. Tabunshchik, M. Tyagunova, O. Shitikova. Conference participants, including the CERES section, received certificates of participation.
The reports of young scientists of ZNTU were recommended for publication in the international scientific journal «Central European Researchers Journal» (http://ceres-journal.eu), which will be published with the support of the CERES project and is planned to be included in the leading international scientometric databases. The further participation of ZNTU in the CERES project of the TEMPUS program will provide an opportunity for our young scientists to continue sending articles for free publication in the journal «Central European Researchers Journal», whose scientific editorial staff includes ZNTU employees Professor S. O. Subbotin and Associate Professor A. O. Oliinyk.
Significant informational support from the conference organizers was also provided to the ZNTU scientific journal «Radioelectronics, Informatics, Management» (RIU), which was recommended by the organizers – members of the editorial board of the RIU magazine from Slovakia, prof. O. Zaitseva and Prof. V. Levashenko on the conference website for the publication of conference reports as extended articles. This will contribute to the attraction of new foreign authors and the spread of international cooperation of ZNTU with leading foreign scientists.
