ZNTU participation in the international conference on information and digital technologies in Slovakia
Representatives of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University under the leadership of the rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. Belikova S.B. participated in the international scientific conference on information and digital technologies «Information and Digital Technologies – 2017» (IDT-2017), which took place on July 5-7, 2017 at the University of Žilina (city of Žilina, Slovak Republic). The theme of the conference was devoted to the development of new methods and means of information technologies and their application to solving practical problems in various fields of science, technology and medicine. The conference was attended by representatives of many countries, including Japan, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, etc.
On behalf of ZNTU, the international program committee of the conference and the composition of reviewers included professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences. S. O. Subbotin. The «Information Technologies» section of the conference was headed by Associate Professor A.O. Oliinyk.
More than 140 reports were sent to the conference organizing committee, among which less than half of the reports were selected for publication based on the results of an independent external review. Each report was reviewed by at least two reviewers. All selected reports were included in the conference collection, which was included in the IEEE digital library and will be indexed in the leading international scientometric databases SCOPUS and Web of Science. From the reports from the ZNTU submitted to the conference, based on the results of the review, the article «A New Simulation Approach of the Electromagnetic Fields in Electrical Machines» by ZNTU employees, the head of the «Electrical and Electronic Devices» department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor D.S. was recommended for publication in the collection of works. Yarimbasha, associate professor of the «Electrical and electronic devices» department, Ph.D., associate professor, M.I. Kotsur, head of the Department of Software Tools, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.O. Subbotina, associate professor of the Department of Software, Ph.D., associate professor A.O. Oleinyka.
Within the IDT-2017 conference, a section of young scientists also worked under the auspices of the «Centers of Excellence for young RESearchers» (CERES) project of the «TEMPUS» program of the European Commission (registration number 544137-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-SK-TEMPUS-JPHES), which included reports by young scientists of ZNTU S. Leoshchenko, I. Olenchenko, A. Plakhtiy Conference participants, including the CERES section, received certificates of participation.
The reports of young scientists of ZNTU were recommended for publication in the international scientific journal «Central European Researchers Journal» (http://ceres-journal.eu), which is published with the support of the CERES project and is planned to be included in the leading international scientometric databases. The further participation of ZNTU in the CERES project of the TEMPUS program will provide an opportunity for our young scientists to continue sending articles for free publication in the journal «Central European Researchers Journal», whose scientific editorial staff includes ZNTU employees Professor S. O. Subbotin and Associate Professor A. O. Oliinyk.
Participants of the CERES and ALIOT (Internet of Things: Emerging Curriculum for Industry and Human Applications, 573818-EPP-1-2016-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) projects from ZNTU (S.B. Belikov, S.O. Subbotin, A.O. Oliynyk) and from the NPE «Radio» (A.O. Kovalenko) during the meeting discussed the prospects of taking into account the experience of the project CERES in the implementation of the ALIOT project, in particular in the aspect of organizing work with young scientists. This ensures synergy and continuity of the implemented projects.
During the meeting, a meeting was held at which ZNTU representatives led by ZNTU rector S.B. Belikov. the issue regarding the purchase of computer equipment at the expense of CERES project funds provided by the European Commission was resolved.
