Participation of the Department of Journalism in an international project

The Department of Journalism of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University University has become a participant in the project «CONSUME! UNDERSTAND! INFLUENCE!: Media Literacy and Sociocultural Communication in the Age of Infodemic». The goal of the project is to spread media literacy in order to develop skills in critical perception of information in Ukraine. Lecturers of the Department of Journalism (Candidate of Philology, Assoc. Prof. G. V. Volynets, Candidate of Social Sciences, Assoc. Prof. N. V. Ostrovska, Candidate of Philology, Assoc. Prof. O. Yu. Poda) conducted a series of trainings for a wide target audience: secondary school students, college students, higher education institutions, members of youth organizations, teachers, librarians, etc.

The implementation of the planned events is carried out in cooperation with lecturers of the Department of Ukrainian Literature of Zaporizhzhia National University within the framework of the program «Learn and Distinguish: Info-Media Literacy: National Deployment», which is being implemented IREX (International Research and Exchange Council) with the support of the British and US Embassies, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Academy of Ukrainian Press.
