The Zaporizhzhia Regional Territorial Branch of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine was solemnly opened at ZNTU

On April 25, 2016, ZNTU, together with the Department of Civil Engineering, solemnly opened the Zaporizhzhia Regional Branch of the Academy of Construction of Ukraine. Antipenko Yevhen Yuriyovich was elected the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Branch – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering; Donenko Vasyl Ivanovich was elected the Deputy Head – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.

During the event, prominent figures and heads of enterprises of the city of Zaporizhzhia became members of the ABU: Kamenev Oleksandr Semenovych, Zhuk Andriy Vitalievich, Lebedev Oleksiy Sergiyovich, Tertyshny Vitaliy Anatoliyovich, Ivko Andriy Volodymyrovych, Ishchenko Sergiy Ivanovych. The new members of the ABU were welcomed by the rector of ZNTU – Belikov Serhiy Borisovich.

The main goal of the ABU is to unite builders from all over the country for the further development of Ukraine. The organization’s activities are aimed at developing and improving the construction industry, creating jobs for students, solving problematic issues of construction and other related areas, searching for and implementing large grants, etc.

In particular, the meeting discussed further cooperation of ABU members with the ZNTU Department of Construction and Management, raised problematic issues: energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies in construction; holding a scientific and practical conference on construction problems in the city of Zaporizhzhia; participation in the development of state building standards; participation in the examination of project documentation.
