Training on the prevention of human trafficking «Find your safe way»
On December 2, 2014, the training «Find your safe way» was held at ZNTU, organized by the Center for Employment Assistance for Students and Graduates and the NGO «Career Development Center »Professionals”.
The event was aimed at forming a circle of knowledge and worldview on the problem of human trafficking, and 28 junior students from all faculties of ZNTU took part in it. We would like to thank the facilitators: Kyrylo Dyadya, Inna Boyko, Kateryna Sobina and Mykola Fazan for organizing the event.
The format of the event was built as a journey along the following route:
- Station «Next to you»
- Station «How not to become a living commodity»
- Station «Human trafficking: questions and answers»
- Station «Your life is your choice».
The participants were divided into 4 groups and traveled along this route, identifying the problem of human trafficking and completing a number of interactive exercises:
- on examples of advertisements for work abroad learned to determine the degree of risk and questionability of these proposals,
- determined a plan of action and decision-making in the event that someone close to them finds themselves in a situation of human trafficking,
- analyzed possible risks associated with working abroad;
- collectively modeled the situation of a young person traveling to work abroad: their life circumstances, the reasons that prompted them to make such a decision, the conditions in which this person could find themselves upon arriving at the workplace, their plan of action in the event that they become a victim of human trafficking;
- determined a list of organizations and services to contact, learned the numbers of «hotlines».
In general, the training was friendly, lively, interesting and meaningful, for which we express our gratitude to the facilitators and students who attended west.
