Holiday on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the first graduation of the English group of the specialty «Electrical machines and devices»
On April 11, the most authentic holiday took place at the Department of «Electrical and Electronic Devices»! The first graduation with the English language of teaching turned 10 years old. The solemn celebration was attended by graduates, teachers, guests of honor represented by the rector of Belikov, Serhiy Borysovych, and the dean of the Metelskyi ETF, Volodymyr Petrovych, as well as applicants interested in studying in English.
The solemn meeting began with a speech by Belikov Serhiy Borisovych, who greeted everyone present in English and spoke about the value of this group. After all, it is the graduates of the English group who work and are valued in such countries as the United States of America, Poland, Germany, Sweden… Specialists with knowledge of the English language occupy quite high positions both at enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region and throughout Ukraine. Students of this group take part in various Olympiads in mathematics, English and general engineering competitions.
Dean of the faculty, Volodymyr Petrovych Metelskyi, also cordially greeted everyone present:
«It is very nice to host such events. »Englishmen« enjoy authority and respect at many enterprises. There are many best students and teachers at this department…
Teachers were awarded diplomas on the holiday. Slides with graduates of different years were shown, in memory of wonderful student years. Tributes were paid to the teachers of the department, who were at the origin of the English group, but, unfortunately, did not live to see the tenth anniversary of the first graduation.
At the end of the holiday, entrants, graduates and students were invited to the festive concert »StudVesna of the Physical and Technical Institute”, and the entrants were given the opportunity to communicate with students and teachers and ask questions that interested them. We express our gratitude to the organizers and those who came for a nice, homely warm evening.
