Scholarships to study the Czech language at the Summer School of Slavic Studies in the Czech Republic
The Ministry of Education, Youth, and Physical Education of the Czech Republic has allocated 4 scholarships (based on the principle of reciprocity) for Ukrainian students and teachers of higher education institutions to study the Czech language as part of the Summer School of Slavic Studies in the Czech Republic.
The summer school provides Czech language courses lasting about a month for all levels of language knowledge (from elementary level and above). When selecting candidates, preference will be given to those applicants who are already learning the Czech language.
The number of scholarships is 4
The application deadline is March 2, 2015.
The following scholarships are offered for 2015:
- Palatskyi University in Olomouc – 1 scholarship (July 18 – August 15, 2015)
- Charles University in Prague – 1 scholarship (July 24 – August 21, 2015)
- Masaryk University in Brno – 2 scholarships
All expenses related to accommodation and training of the participants are covered by the Czech side.

Please note that at the end of the summer school, it is possible to re-enroll the received credits at a university in Ukraine (for students).
In order to participate in the scholarship competition, the following documents must be submitted:
- a completed application form of the corresponding university
- resume (preferably in Europass format)
- a short motivational essay of up to 1000 words
- if available, confirmation of the level of knowledge of the Czech language
The specified documents should be sent to the email address of the Ministry of Education and Culture ukrainemon@gmail.com with the subject of the letter «Summer School of Slavic Studies».
The deadline for submitting applications is March 2, 2015.
Applicants can apply to all of the listed schools, indicating the priority of choice in a motivational essay, as well as briefly justifying their choice.
