ZNTU students took an active part in the regional seminar of the student trade union!

From April 8 to 9, 2014, a regional seminar of student trade union activity was held under the organization of the Zaporizhzhia regional organization of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine.

The event was attended by the heads of the student union bureaus of the faculties and colleges of our university, as well as Zaporizhzhia National University, Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy, Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, Melitopol State Pedagogical University, and Zaporizhzhia Pedagogical College.

The first day of the seminar took place within the walls of the Zaporizhzhia House of Trade Unions. The head of the regional organization of the Trade Union Nadiya Hryn spoke before the students. She spoke about the activities of trade unions in modern conditions. Her deputy, Yurii Yudin, and the head of the PPO of ZNTU students, Andriy Ivanchenko, also spoke. They discussed with the participants the program, the purpose and tasks of the seminar, the draft Regulation on the student dormitory, the organization of the work of the permanent commissions of the PC PPE of the vocational bureau of the faculties, reporting and election campaigns. A very useful part of the seminar was the exchange of experience in trade union activities and work with student youth. Here, students from different universities asked each other relevant questions and together looked for ways to solve this or that problem, using the example of their colleagues.

On the second day, April 9, the participants of the seminar exchanged interesting information already in «Mashinka». Students listened to the speech of ZNTU rector Serhiy Belikov, who shared ways of partnership between the administration of the university and vocational training of ZNTU students. Andriy Ivanchenko, the head of the PPO of ZNTU students, also spoke on this issue. Next, the floor was given to Viktor Kuzmin, the head of the Employment Assistance Center of ZNTU, who spoke about the Center’s activities and work with privileged categories of students. In addition, a round table «Issues of employment of youth, students, graduates» was organized, led by Yurii Yudin.

Students watched presentations on the work of their colleagues from the region. This also satisfied the interest and benefited.

After summarizing the results, the seminar was solemnly closed. But the knowledge gained thanks to this event will remain in memory for a long time. After all, the regional seminars of the professional activity are simply necessary to increase the efficiency of work, to maintain friendly relations and good communication.
