Students of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» at KPI-OPEN 2019
On July 1-5, 2019, the Fourteenth International Student Programming Olympiad named after S.O. Lebedev and V.M. Glushkov «KPI-OPEN 2019» was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute». It was attended by 2 teams of the NU "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic", which include 2nd year students of the Department of Software Tools of the Faculty of CST: Question_Mark (Basanets M.I., Kamensky D.V., Didenko A.E.) and CoRe (Kozlov V.V., Berezhny O.Yu., Sudakov V.R.), under the leadership of the senior lecturer of the Department of Software Tools Deynegi L.Yu.
Over the years of its history, the KPI-OPEN Olympiad has become a key event not only for young programmers from Ukraine, the CIS countries and all of Eastern Europe, but also for numerous IT companies operating in Ukraine. This year, 88 teams from 19 cities in 7 countries of the world took part in the Olympiad. They represent 33 universities. The Olympiad is held according to original rules harmonized with international ones.
The main goal of the Olympiad is not only to identify the strongest among its participants, but also to give each of them an impetus for personal and professional growth, teach them to work in a team, help establish and strengthen interuniversity ties, which will become the basis for the development of cooperation between universities, including those from different countries.
Traditionally, the organizers offered the participants not only interesting tasks, but also various events as part of its cultural program: excursions to Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and a trip along the Dnieper on a motor ship, a football tournament, etc.
The Zaporizhzhia teams Question_mark and CoRe participated in KPI-OPEN for the first time, but achieved good results. The Question_Mark team received a diploma of high achievements. Congratulations to the guys and wish them further success in the competitions!
