Electric drive students visit Zaporizhstal
On March 22, students of the 2nd-4th courses of the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations (EPA) under the leadership of the Head of the EPA Department Pyrozhko A.V. and Associate Professor of the EPA Department Nazarova O.S. visited one of the largest metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine – PJSC «Zaporizhstal».
The friendly visit began with a meeting with the head of the Youth Organization of the plant Ilchenko S.V. and a discussion of current social youth issues, the main directions of development of the Youth Organization, its initiatives and activities. While watching films dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the plant and the 25th anniversary of the Youth Organization, they got acquainted with the scale of their activities and the success story.
After that, under the leadership of the deputy leader of the Youth Organization Nikolenko R.M., the delegation visited the main control room with a huge screen, which displays the main parameters of all the main units involved in metallurgical production; they got acquainted with the work of the reconstructed blast furnace No. 3, which is equipped with a modern aspiration system; they visited the hot rolling shop of thin sheet, which impressed the excursionists with the red-hot color of the rolled metal and its plasticity; the students observed the operation of the winding-unwinding mechanisms and the loop holder in the cold rolling shop No. 1; The new pickling line greeted visitors with the cleanliness and tidiness of the production facilities and the absence of any harmful substances that could affect the human body in public. They ended their visit in the live cage of the Railway Transport Department of the plant, where various exotic birds feel good, which indicates that everything is in order with the ecology on the territory of the plant.
It is worth noting that before the start of the excursion, all participants underwent a safety briefing and were provided with special company clothing and personal protective equipment. For greater mobility of the excursionists and comfort during the visit to the production, the management of the enterprise allocated a comfortable bus. During the excursions in the workshops with noisy operation of production units, individual excursion systems were used – radio guide.
In memory of the interesting excursion to the plant, all participants received branded souvenirs of «Zaporizhstal».
