Student competition for design projects of promising aircraft, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the SE «Ivchenko-Progress»
In May of this year, a competition of student design projects related to aviation was held on the basis of the Classical Private University. The organizers were the SE «Ivchenko-Progress» together with the Classical Private University. And it was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the legendary design bureau, where many advanced aircraft engines were created. A large number of students from different cities and educational institutions took part in the competition, which gave it the status of an all-Ukrainian competition. Among the members of the jury were teachers of the Classical Private University, as well as leading designers of the SE «Ivchenko-Progress», in particular the general designer, head of KB Kravchenko Ihor Fedorovych.
The contestants were asked to design aircraft of various designs and methods of movement (airplanes, helicopters, ekranoplanes, etc.). Here the participants could fully demonstrate their creative abilities and design skills. Students of our Zaporizhzhia National Technical University took an active part in the competition. The jury evaluated the works according to such criteria as innovativeness, aesthetic appearance, ergonomics and the level of design and technological solutions.
As a result of painstaking and inspired work, quite interesting competition works were presented, which pleased with the variety of constructions, design and execution methods. The projects of the participants were presented in the hall of the Classical Private University for everyone. According to the results of the competition, two of our students confidently won the first two places: Dmytro Chupryna (GF-910p) won the first place, and Koval Volodymyr (GF-910p, head of the group) took the second place. The jury appreciated the students’ works and noted their high qualification level of preparation. All prize-winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.
