Student vacation in «Sosnoy Bor» – to be!

Summer is burning outside, students are enjoying the last days of summer vacation, however, despite this, the construction units of the trade union committee of students of ZNTU continue to work actively. And now a new achievement in the reconstruction and renewal of the material and technical base of the university became possible.

In August 2015, a ceremonial opening of renovated and updated holiday houses took place in the sports and health camp of ZNTU «Sosnovy Bir». This event was attended by the Rector of ZNTU, Professor Belikov Serhiy Borisovych, the head of the trade union committee of students of ZNTU Ivanchenko Andriy Volodymyrovych, the academic secretary of ZNTU Naumyk Valerii Vladylenovych, the director of the student campus of ZNTU Dubina Vadim Mykolayovych and, of course, students participating in the construction squads.

The right to cut the red ribbon was given to the rector and the head of the students’ trade union committee, which they successfully did. After that, the commander of the student construction units Komissarov Yevhen Viktorovych together with his colleagues presented the updated houses.

In his speech, the rector noted that 20 years ago, «Sosnovy Bir» was extremely popular, both students and teachers of the university came here to relax. Later, unfortunately, the camp began to decline, the number of people wishing to relax began to decrease. Now we can say that «Sosnovy Bir» is experiencing its revival, repairs are underway, living conditions for vacationers are improving. New furniture, beds, comfortable mattresses have appeared in the houses, and in the kitchens you can comfortably prepare food on a new kitchen set.

Then the whole delegation went to the building to look at the renovated rooms. In the summer, student activists undertook to repair these rooms with their own hands and achieved significant success in this. Currently, three rooms are ready to receive students on vacation, the living conditions are quite decent. At the persuasion of the head of the students’ trade union committee Ivanchenko A.V. this is only the beginning of the path to the complete restoration of the activities of Sosnoy Bor. «Every great business begins with the first step, ? he said. – And now we have taken this step. We are not going to stop there. Our goal is to make »Sosnovy Bir« a really nice and affordable place for recreation for both students and employees of ZNTU».

Finally, we note that all these repairs could not have happened without the active support of ZNTU rector, Professor S.B. Belikov. During the ceremonial opening of the houses, students who participated in the construction teams expressed their gratitude for the support and the opportunity to work for the benefit of the university.
