Student Summer — 2013

The summer of students at Zaporizhzhia National Technical University began differently for everyone. Some conscientiously passed the session, some underwent introductory practice, our future students passed the external examinations, and the former ones became graduates.

But after resolving all issues related to their studies, our young people plunged headlong into the summer. Of course, some organized their own vacation, while others were gladly helped by the trade union committee of students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates of ZNTU.

This year, the plans were ambitious: «Mashynkivtsi» got the opportunity to visit St. Petersburg, relax in Berdyansk, and get a temporary job.

The trip to St. Petersburg was marked by unforgettable excursions. The cultural capital of Russia welcomed our students with a sightseeing tour of the city. Young people got acquainted with the fabulous architecture of St. Petersburg, and in addition, they saw the legendary cruiser «Aurora» with their own eyes. «Mashinkivtsi» visited the remarkable Kazan and Trinity-Izmailovsky Cathedrals, the Petro and Pavlo Fortress and the Hermitage Museum, and visited the summer residence of the Russian emperors, Peterhof. The cultural journey gave not only aesthetic pleasure, but also a lot of good emotions and memories.

All summer, ZNTU students participated in trips to the resort town of our region – the friendly Berdyansk. During the week of the trip in good company against the backdrop of the warm sea, fresh air and a relaxing atmosphere, our young people experienced a lot of positive moments and emotions, which means they brought back a good mood and amazingly wonderful memories.

We should not forget about those who worked all summer. The ZNTU Employment Assistance Center helped our students get good temporary jobs. Young people worked not only in Zaporizhzhia, for example, as call center operators, but also in resort towns as counselors, animators, instructors, security guards and waiters, drove boats and water scooters, taking vacationers. For them, the summer turned out to be rich in impressions and generous in material rewards.

This summer season for students of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, who planned their vacation together with our student trade union committee, became unforgettable and eventful. But the good impressions do not end there, because the trade union committee of students, graduate students and doctoral candidates of ZNTU offers to plunge into the whirlpool of travel and interesting events all year round, at any time.
