Internship of a student of the software department in a leading German company

As part of the Internship Program of German Business for Ukraine ( http://stipendienprogramm-ukraine.de/en/ ) student of the Department of Software Tools of ZNTU Dmytro Kravchenko (KNT-722m) received a grant and spent three months on an internship in Germany. This program provides a unique opportunity for students and postgraduates to gain practical work experience, adopt innovative approaches of leading German companies and apply the theoretical knowledge gained during university studies.

The selection took place in several stages. At the first stage, an application was submitted to the program website, at the second – an interview, the purpose of which was to determine the level of professional training and foreign language skills, and at the last stage – the selection of candidates by German companies. Scholars who were selected by companies began their internships on February 1. At the end of January, before the beginning of the internship, all fellows spent a preparatory week in Berlin, where they got to know the culture and traditions of Germany, learned about the business of sorting garbage, which is unusual for Ukraine but widespread in Europe, and practiced business communications. Also, during this week, scholarship recipients had the opportunity to communicate and ask questions to representatives of various ministries and departments of Germany.

Dmytro was chosen by the world-famous company Bosch Rexroth AG, which belongs to the group of companies Robert Bosch GmbH ( https://boschrexroth.com/ ) and is one of the world’s leading suppliers of drive systems and control systems. The internship took place at the company’s headquarters in the city of Lor na Main. The company develops, manufactures and distributes its components and system solutions in more than 80 countries of the world. Student work at Bosch Rexroth was related to real-time communications and software development for IndraMotion MLC microcontrollers in C++. During the internship, in addition to gaining invaluable experience, Dmytro also managed to travel, visit many outstanding cultural and touristic places in Germany, as well as visit Italy and Holland.

From May 19 to 21, 2017, program participants will gather to discuss the results of their internship in Odessa.

Participation in the Internship Program of German Business for Ukraine contributes to the integration of Ukraine into the European cultural, educational and economic space and allows our students to acquire modern knowledge and practical skills that will help them in their future professional activities.
