Cooperation that has been tested over the years
From October 29 to November 2, at the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Professor of the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), honorary professor of ZNTU Petro Arras held lectures «Virtual prototyping», «3D printing» and «World energy balance and motorization: problems and prospects» for students of the following ZNTU faculties: computer science and technology, mechanical engineering and automotive.
Also, on November 2, teachers and scientific staff of ZNTU, together with employees of JSC Motor-Sich, received training on the use of the finite element method in the CREO CAD system for calculating the strength characteristics of artificial implants.
These lectures are made possible by the individual mobility program Erasmus+ KA1 with the support of the European Union, operating with the Catholic University of Leuven since 2015.
During the meeting on the prospects of cooperation, the rector of ZNTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. S.B. Belikov noted the uniqueness of the Faculty of Engineering of the Catholic University of Leuven, which already actively cooperates with 4 faculties of ZNTU, in particular, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Automobiles, the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Technologies, and the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design.
As part of the individual mobility program, ZNTU students have the opportunity to study at European universities for 4-6 months. Today, 7 institutional agreements were signed with higher education institutions in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Romania.
