Cooperation of the department of electric drive and automation of industrial installations of ZNTU with the leading world leader in automation technologies, the company «Festo»

The EPA Department of ZNTU, which is a leader in the Zaporizhzhia region in the field of automation in industry, is expanding the circle of cooperation and friendly relations with the world leader in automation technologies, as well as the leader in industrial education and professional development – the Festo company.

On October 31, 2018, the head of didactics of «Festo» Yugen Ryzhenko visited the EPA department. The head of the EPA department Valerii Bondarenko together with the associate professors of the EPA department Volodymyr Osadchy and Olena Nazarova conducted an introductory tour of the department, demonstrated student, postgraduate and teaching developments aimed at the study and research of automation systems of technological complexes, namely, a stand for the study of control systems of two-mass systems (authors of the development: V. Osadchyi, O. Nazarova, M.Sc. V. Brylisty), a closed liquid level control system based on the MIC-127 microprocessor regulator of the company «Mikrol» (the author of the development – V. Osadchyi, masters R. Savilov, A. Babakin), a stand for studying industrial automation systems based on Siemens equipment (authors of the development: V. Bondarenko, V. Osadchyi, A. Pirozhok, E. Kulynych), a stand for studying microprocessor systems with the ADuC 841 microcontroller of the company «Analog Devices» (the author of the development is V. Osadchii).

Festo Didactic, which is part of the international concern «Festo», has considerable experience in conducting trainings and seminars, the feature of which is an effective combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the use of the latest methods and modern training equipment in the field of pneumatics and automation.

The signing of a cooperation agreement aimed at increasing the level of training of specialists in the field of automation using the developments of the «Festo» company and the possibility of modernizing educational and laboratory equipment, in particular, the MP-9S manipulator with Festo elements, were discussed.

By the way, there are already the first results of the agreements – two students of the EPA department in November-December 2018 will study in Kyiv on the basis of Festo Didactic with a 90% discount from the cost of the courses.
