Communication of scientists in the field of electrical engineering
From June 2 to 6, 2014, the XIII International Scientific and Technical Conference «Problems of Modern Electrical Engineering-2014» was held in Kyiv under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
The main issues of the conference were modeling, analysis, synthesis and optimization of electrotechnical, electrotechnological, electric power and electromechanical systems; electric energy complexes and systems with distributed generation; conversion of electrical energy parameters; normalization of power quality parameters and electromagnetic compatibility. ZNTU was represented at the conference by the report of M.O. Polyakov, associate professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices. and graduate student V. V. Vasylevskyi on the topic «Prediction of processes of wear and tear of insulation of power transformer windings.» The materials of the report were published in English in the fifth issue of the journal «Technical Electrodynamics» for 2014, which is a scientific specialist publication of Ukraine in the field of technical sciences and is included in the list of specialized publications of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, international databases SCOPUS, COMPENDEX, INDEXCOPERNICUS, ELIBRARY, EBSCO, PROQUEST and abstract databases of Ukraine (abstract journal «Zherelo») and Russia (abstract journal VINITI RAN). As you know, publications included in the SCOPUS scientometric database determine the rating of universities in Ukraine.
Conference materials can be viewed at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices. It is sad that the Zaporizhzhia region, which produces a third of Ukraine’s electricity, was represented at the leading scientific conference in the field of electrical engineering with only one report.
