What does summer give, besides rest
One of the first questions that arise at the beginning of summer for a student is the question of earning opportunities. What to do so as not to spoil the long-awaited rest? The Center for Employment Assistance for Students and Graduates, which works all year round for you and me at all ZNTU, answers this question. Some wanted to get seasonal work, and some wanted to get permanent work. Various trainings were held for all interested parties throughout the year and immediately before the hot season.
The «School of Counseling Skills 2014» was held, where 120 university students participated and completed a course of classes under the 40-hour program of the «School of Counseling Skills». After which all students were sent to work in children’s health camps in the Zaporizhzhia region. The largest number of students this year was employed in the «Forest Song» DOT.
In the spring of 2014, assistance was provided to select employees for the «Treasure Island» water park for ZNTU students for their work in the summer and vacation period. This event was held in two stages. The first stage took place from April 16, 2014, during which questionnaires were collected from all students wishing to work in the summer of 2014 in the «Treasure Island» water park, and clarifications were provided regarding working conditions, wages, etc. The second stage took place on April 16, at which the water park administration selected 45 students from among those who wished to work in the summer period.
In February-March 2014, a number of master classes were held:
- master class from the leading specialist of the Zaporizhzhia Titanium-Magnesium Combine, Liudmyla Viktorovna Vasilega, who spoke in detail about the titanium-magnesium combine, types of activities at the enterprise, employment opportunities for graduates, modern labor market requirements for graduates of these specialties, the activities of the combine today and much more.
- several meetings with leading specialists of OJSC «Zaporizhstal», Head of the Information Systems Department Oreshkin Yurii Igorovich and Head of the Operational Analysis Department Stepkin Oleh Viktorovich, at which they spoke about the work of their departments and about the vacancies available at that time.
- in May 2014, excursions to the production of PJSC «Ukrgrafit» were organized for students and graduates of ZNTU with the aim of further internship and employment as foremen and engineers for design work. About 60 students of various specialties took part in these excursions.
For the effective distribution of students-specialists graduates of 2014 of ZNTU and to comply with the norms of the Procedure for employment of graduates of higher educational institutions, whose training was carried out by state order, from 04/22/214 to 04/25/14, a meeting of the commission for employment of graduates-specialists of 2014 was held for each faculty. Active work was carried out to invite potential employers to participate in the work of the commission. 100 invitation letters were sent to employers through the office department; 50 invitation letters to employers were delivered by employees of the Center for Promotion of Employment of Students and Graduates in person; 30 invitation letters to employers were sent by fax; 50 invitation letters to employers were sent via e-mail. This year, the following employers participated in the work of the commission: LLC «Klion Group», PJSC «Zaporizhtransformator», PJSC «Zaporizhzhia Titanium-Magnesium Combine», Zaporizhzhia branch of PJSC Ukrtelecom, KP NVK «Iskra», JSC «Motor Sich», Center for Panoramic Systems, SMK-Vision, company «Epicenter K», FUIB, PJSC «Zaporizhstal», Trading Center, company «Roma LTD», Zaporizhzhia Regional Employment Center.

Anyone can contact the Center for Employment Assistance for Students and Graduates for help throughout the year.
