Training seminar on the development of home automation systems
On June 8, 2018, a training seminar on the development of home automation systems was held at the base of PKF MOTOR LLC (director Oleksandr Fisyuk). This company is a leader in the field of design and installation of engineering networks for Smart Home systems.
The event was held within the framework of the project «Internet of Things: A New Curriculum for the Needs of Industry and Society» (ALIOT, reg. number 573818-EPP-1-2016-1-UK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) under the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
The event was attended by company representatives (ETN manager Maksym Khrunov, store director Ivan Korol, design engineer Denys Kolpakov, marketer Tetiana Voyevoda), teachers of the software department of the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Olha Gladkova, Artem Tulenkov), teachers of the Faculty of Engineering Technologies of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium (Petro Arras, Danny Jansen) and the best students of the department of software tools of ZNTU.
During the seminar, the advantages of using home automation systems to increase the comfort of human life and save resources, as well as the issue of using the best European experience and equipment to create Smart Home systems based on the MyHome Showroom of the Legrand company, were discussed. According to the program of the seminar, the following issues were considered:
Presentation of the MyHome home automation system from Legrand (system structure, installation, main components, examples of implemented projects).
Acquaintance with the equipment of the home automation system (SCS-bus, control devices, relay-activators, power supply unit).
Introduction to MyHome Suite and ScenarX software.
The basics of creating a project (programming simple commands, working with a block of complex scripts, programming a touch panel, creating a simple project on an iPad).
Representatives of the company and partner universities discussed the prospects of joint activities and personnel training in the field of software and hardware platform engineering for home automation systems of various levels.
