Seminar «Additive Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering»
On April 12, 2017, at the Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Ulysses Printing 3D, together with the CIDECS-ZNTU and ZNTU-Delcam centers, held a seminar «Additive Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering. Innovative Solutions from Concept Laser.»
The seminar was attended by representatives of the city’s leading enterprises: JSC «Motor Sich», ZMKB «Ivchenko-Progress», KP NPK «Iskra», PAO «ZAZ», LLC NPF «Mida», teachers and students of ZNTU and others. Manuel Kolb, a representative of the company «Concept Laser» (Germany), gave a report on the history of the company’s creation, advanced technologies and equipment for layer-by-layer selective laser melting of metal powders for the additive manufacturing of parts of complex design. Petro Hofmann, a representative of Blue Power (Indutherm) (Germany), presented technology and equipment (atomizers) for the production of metal powders for 3D printers.
Specialists from Ulysses Printing 3D presented the Makerbot Replicator Z18 printer model for printing with PLA plastic and samples of models printed on this equipment.
Metal printed samples of parts aroused particular interest.
