Development of cooperation with the PRC
On March 19-20, 2018, the 1st China World Experts Summit was held in Ningbo (PRC) at the initiative of the local people’s government. The summit was attended by more than 370 experts from 20 countries, including the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Canada, Australia, Central and Eastern European countries, and Chinese experts. Among the participants were 18 academicians, representatives of international high-tech projects, representatives of 44 world-renowned universities, 27 internationally recognized research institutes, and 20 industry associations and chambers of commerce. Zaporizhzhia was represented by the rector of ZNTU S.B. Belikov, the vice-rector of ZNTU for scientific work and international activities V.V. Naumyk, as well as the vice-rector of ZNU for science G.M. Vasylchuk.
The summit included a plenary session and sectional sessions. The secretary of the municipal party committee of Ningbo Zheng Shan-Ji addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. A number of agreements were signed at the opening ceremony. In particular, the Protocol of Intent on Cooperation in Educational, Scientific, Technical and Innovative Activities between the Beilun District Administration of Ningbo and ZNTU was signed by the head of the district Hu Kuei and the rector of ZNTU S.B. Belikov. The vice-rector for scientific work and international activities V.V. Naumyk signed a protocol of intentions on cooperation in the field of science and technology with the foundry materials company «Tian Yang» Ningbo.
