Christmas holidays in the city of Lviv
Lviv – one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine. A city that has enchanted millions of tourists with its beauty. Lviv becomes especially popular during the Christmas holidays. Walking through the Christmas city, you feel like you’re in a strange fairy tale. The whole city is filled with a festive mood. Numerous fairs, nativity scenes – all this gives an unforgettable holiday atmosphere.
The students of «Mashinka» also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in this atmosphere, since the trade union committee of ZNTU students has been organizing trips to Lviv for the Christmas holidays for students for several years now…
After 20 hours on the train, a large delegation of students from Zaporizhzhia arrived at the station of the city of Lviv, from where they went to the dormitories where young people will spend the next week. 128 people went to the dormitory number 10 of the National University «Lviv Polytechnic», and a small group of 16 students – to the dormitory of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Our university has been cooperating with «Lviv Polytechnic» for more than 20 years. Thanks to such cooperation, our students have the opportunity to relax in Lviv, living in the dormitory of the «Polytechnic» for a small fee and in decent conditions.
After settling into the rooms, unpacking their things, the boys and girls went for a walk around the city in small groups: some to the ice rink, some to one of the numerous cathedrals, some had long dreamed of visiting a real Lviv cafe… This is how the first day passed, and a whole week ahead. A week of discoveries, walks around the city, new acquaintances, communication. You can forget the problems of a busy semester. Some even managed to visit the mountains, to the ski resort in the town of Slavske. A couple of hours by electric train from Lviv – and you can ski, snowboard, see the amazing nature of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Such events create memories for a lifetime, when all the friends finally gather together, in a wonderful place. When people spend a lot of time together, walk around the city, get to know each other, communicate, become friends.
This is how the Christmas week in Lviv passed for ZNTU students, and we hope that the tradition of Christmas trips to Lviv at our university will continue!
