Results of the KPI-OPEN 2015 Programming Olympiad
From June 29 to July 4, 2015, the Tenth Anniversary International Open Student Programming Olympiad named after. was held at the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (NTUU «KPI»). S.O. Lebedeva and V.M. Glushkova «KPI-OPEN 2015».
According to the results of the competition, the ZNTU_SetUp team showed an excellent result, taking III prize place in the final table, and the ZNTU_Kappatalize team gained vast experience and solid practical skills for participating in the Olympiad, which will allow them to adequately represent Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (ZNTU) in the future.
In total, 92 teams from 5 Eastern European countries competed in the Olympiad: Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Russia.
ZNTU was represented by two teams at the Olympiad:
- ZNTU_SetUp: Zadorozhny Evgeny Vitaliyovych, Bezsonov Andriy Georgiyovych, Kosarenko Viktoriya Gennadiyivna, KNT-411, 4th year;
- ZNTU_Kappatalize: Tverdokhlib Evgeny Romanovych, KNT-213, Mishchenko Maksym Yevgenyovich, KNT-413, 2nd year, Kovalchuk Anzhelika Olegivna, KNT-512, 3rd year.
The teams’ participation in the Olympiad was made possible thanks to the support of the administration and the trade union committee of ZNTU students.
The organizers of the Olympiad «KPI-OPEN 2015» have traditionally been NTUU «KPI» and Vanopl Development Group with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as the Cybernetics Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. «KPI-OPEN 2015» meets all international requirements for programming olympiads and is an ideal platform for meeting young programmers from Ukraine and other countries.
The sponsors of the Olympiad in 2015 were MacPaw, ITVDN, ColorWay and others.
The jury recognized the following teams as the winners of the Olympiad:
- 1st place – LNU Penguins (Lviv Ivan Franko National University)
- 2nd place – Frogs and Flawless (Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University).
- 3rd place – ZNTU_SetUp (ZNTU), Looksery 1 2/3 (Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University) and MAI #1 (Moscow Aviation Institute).
The winners and prize-winners received valuable gifts from sponsors along with their diplomas. And the teams that took seventh to twenty-sixth places, inclusive, were awarded diplomas «For high achievements».
