Rectors of Kharkiv universities praised Tabachnyk
The rectors of Kharkiv region universities consider the position of the Lviv regional council on the need to dismiss Tabachnyk to be one that distorts the real situation in education
Members of the Council of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of the Kharkiv region appealed to the deputy corps of the Kharkiv region with a request to respond to the demand of the Lviv regional council to immediately dismiss D. Tabachnyk from the post of Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports.
«We are deeply outraged by this event and consider the position of the Lviv regional council to be biased, politically biased, and one that distorts the real situation in the educational sphere,» the appeal to the head of the Kharkiv regional council, S.I. Chernov.
The members of the Council of Rectors also note that with the appointment of D. Tabachnyk as Minister, the work of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine has become aimed at achieving specific results and has acquired a systemic character.
«Over two years, the Ministry has managed to implement a number of real programs aimed at improving the quality of education, all important decisions are made by it after a wide public discussion with the educational community and student organizations,» the appeal states.
«Such accusations against D. V. Tabachnyk are absurd and can be regarded as unacceptable pressure on the state leadership,» the appeal of the Council of Rectors of Kharkiv Higher Education Institutions emphasizes.
Recall that on February 28, deputies of the Lviv Regional Council supported the appeal of the faction of the «Front of Changes» political party to the President and Prime Minister of Ukraine with demanding the resignation of the Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports Dmytro Tabachnyk.
According to the head of the permanent commission on education and science of the Lviv Regional Council, Yurii Pidlisny, the initiatives of the Minister of Education Dmytro Tabachnyk have led to a deterioration in the situation in the educational sphere.
