Conducting the seminar «Possibilities for individual academic mobility within the framework of the Erasmus+ program» at ZNTU

On June 6, 2016, the seminar «Possibilities for individual academic mobility within the framework of the Erasmus+ program» was held on the basis of ZNTU. The seminar was conducted by Kateryna Zhdanova, manager of individual opportunities of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine.

The event consisted of 2 parts: for teachers and representatives of the administrative staff of universities, regarding the creation and implementation of credit mobility projects within the Erasmus+ Program (direction KA1), and for students (bachelor, master, postgraduate) and graduates interested in the opportunities of academic mobility within the Erasmus+ Program (Credit mobility, Degree mobility).

Competitions for submitting joint project applications for the organization of international credit mobility under the Erasmus+ program are open every year from October to February of the following calendar year. A credit mobility project can be organized by a university from Ukraine and one partner university from a member country of the Erasmus+ Program for students (bachelor’s (except for the 1st year), masters, postgraduates), teachers and postgraduates.

Also, the representative of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine talked about the Erasmus Mundus joint master’s and doctoral programs, which offer scholarships and research grants financed by the European Union.

The seminar was attended by almost 50 students and teachers interested in academic mobility scholarship programs.

Currently ZNTU is implementing a project on individual mobility with KU Leven University (Belgium). As part of this program, 2 graduate students (Mark Kuchugurov and Anton Germashev (supervisor Yu.M. Vnukov) have already completed internships at the De Nair Campus. Now three masters (Olexii Bondarenko, group E-311m, department of electric drive and automation, specialty «Electric drive and automation, Tetyana Kharlanova, group T-311m, department of transport technologies, specialty »Organization of transportation and transportation management« and Serhii Korotunov, department of software tools, specialty »System software”) thanks to the Erasmus+ KA1 program, are completing their studies at various KU Leven campuses.
