Conducting an educational modeling seminar «New Faces of the Neighborhood»
«SHAPING – NEIGHBORHOOD» («New faces of the neighborhood») – under this name, a modeling seminar was successfully held on November 23-25, 2017. The seminar was organized within the framework of the contract between ZNTU and CIVIC-Institute. Students and teachers of the Institute of Management and Law of ZNTU took part in the seminar. Responsible for the organization of the seminar – D.Yu. Arabadzhiev, head of the Department of General Legal and Political Sciences of the Faculty of Law.
This seminar was held thanks to the CIVIC Institute of International Education (CIVIC-Institute) and the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (IFA) with funding from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The training showed the participants alternatives to the decision-making process in the European Union, and demonstrated the importance of the participation of every representative of society in the development of European integration processes during the cooperation of neighboring countries with the EU. During the simulation, based on interactive methods of assimilating information and performing practical tasks, the participants realized that ensuring safety, stability and well-being is a key point in the development of the neighborhood. The general recognition of European values is especially important: self-determination of the peoples of Europe, democracy and respect for human rights, observance of common values in the areas of rule of law, proper state administration, independence of the judicial system, transparency of political institutions at the national and pan-European levels.
Participants of the seminar enjoyed communicating with trainers and colleagues, as well as gained new experience and skills.
