EU programs for developing the potential of ZNTU
Internationalization of universities is a complex and multi-vector task. Today, Zaporizhzhia National Technical University is a partner in the Erasmus + KA1 and KA2 projects, thanks to which students have the opportunity to study during the semester at universities in Germany and Belgium and not only acquire European-level knowledge, but also improve their skills in intercultural communication. New opportunities arise every year. That is why the round table «Program of the European Union for the development of the potential of ZNTU», held on October 26, was devoted to the issues of international cooperation, the current state and prospects, opportunities for scientists, teachers and students.
Participants were solemnly greeted by the rector of ZNTU, prof. Serhii Borisovych Belikov, and noted the importance of international cooperation at all levels, the tendency to increase the number of projects supported by the European Union, and opportunities for university teachers and students. The participants of the round table were greeted by the vice-rector for scientific work and international activities, PhD, prof. V.V. Scientific scientist and vice-rector for scientific-pedagogical work and development prospects of Doctor of Science, prof. D.M. Pisa.
Representatives of the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) prof. P. Arras and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany) prof. Karsten Wolf, with whom ZNTU already has a long-term partnership. They noted that ZNTU is a reliable partner and made presentations on the future prospects for the development of cooperation.
During the 3 years of the Erasmus+ KA1 student exchange program with the Catholic University of Leuven, 3 PhD students and 12 masters have already studied during the semester at Campus De Nair. Currently, graduate student N. Chernovol (dissertation topic: «Programming and control of hybrid machining centers with numerical software control») are studying on the campus. Supervisor from ZNTU: Ph.D., associate professor S.I. Dyadya, supervisor from KU Leuven, Prof. B. Lawrence), and 2 masters: O. Kurtov (thesis topic «Increasing the service life of electrodes for contact welding by applying coating by electronic spark method», supervisor from ZNTU, Prof. Van Remenent, supervisor from ZNTU: Ph.D., associate professor, S.I. Dyadya, supervisor from KU Leuven, Prof. E. Ferraris)
During the round table, the state of implementation of the current projects Internet of Things: Emerging Curriculum for Industry and Human Applications [ALIOT] (speaker, head of KSM department Ravil Kamilovich Kudermetov) and Innovative Multidisciplinary Curriculum in Artificial Implants for Bio-Engineering BSc/MSc Degrees [BIOART] (speaker, professor of PZ department Halyna Volodymyrivna Tabunshchik) was discussed.
Dean of the Faculty of Management V.V. Korolkov presented scientific and educational spheres of activity of the faculty, prospects of cooperation.
Executives of international individual mobility projects shared their experiences and the challenges they faced: Anton Hermashev, a doctoral student of the department, spoke about his mobility experience as part of the Erasmus+ KA1 project as a graduate student and teacher. Associate Professor of the Department of Software Serdyuk Serhiy Mykytovych spoke about the programs funded by the DAAD and about his research internship experience.
Report of the leading designer of control of electrical installations and gas pumping units of OJSC Motor-Sich S.V. Biloshapy, who made a presentation of the GTEVS-2b5S power plant, aroused lively interest. The possibilities of implementing the industrial Internet of Things and the prospects of cooperation with scientific groups of universities were discussed.
Participants of the round table developed an action plan for further cooperation and expansion of cooperation opportunities.
