Programmers — in Tokyo, technicians — in London!

Programmers — in Tokyo, technicians — in London!

Who wants to go to London? And in Tokyo? Of course, of course, everyone. Super! Well, read on, my dears, how not only to get there, but also to gain experience, have fun, learn something new, relax, see the world and express yourself.

November 11. a meeting with representatives of the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation took place in auditorium 320. You probably do not understand why I am starting to tell you about the charity fund. Well, the fact is that this charitable foundation created an interesting project – the «Aviator» competition. Now I will introduce you to the course of the case.

«Aviator» is an all-Ukrainian charity competition that has been held for seven years in a row. The purpose of the competition is to help talented students of technical specialties who aspire to contribute to the development of Ukrainian technical progress, namely in the field of aircraft construction.

On Thursday, our students had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the foundation. Ms. Khrystyna spoke about the importance of the contest and the rules for participating in it. And so, in order to become a winner and fly into a dream fairy tale, you must, first of all, be a student of a technical specialty. If you meet this criterion, then you are practically a winner. After that, you will need to register on the website www.kolesnikovfund.org, fill out an application and wait for a response (be sure to enter the correct phone number and email address in the application, and check your email from time to time). If you have completed the registration correctly, you will definitely receive a positive response.

Well, now, after successfully choosing a profession and registering on the website, you can start the main work. The competition itself consists of four stages. In December, the first stage will be held – solving problems in physics and mathematics. In February next year, the participants will take a technical English test. March will bring contestants an exam on the history of aviation. And in April, the final will be held, in which students will present their own project. In principle, that’s all, after that you can breathe easy and wait for the results. The works will be evaluated by real professionals in their field: Dmytro Semenovych Kiva, Anton Volov, Oleksandr Cherepanov, Maksym Gladskyi, Yevhen Ivanov and Serhii Khizhnyak.

April 12, 2018. (Aviation and Cosmonautics Day) based on the results of the competition, the 100 best students of Ukraine will be chosen, who will receive the dream trip to London. The business trip will last three days, two of which the students will spend studying and absorbing the experience of foreign colleagues. On the third day, everyone will have the opportunity to rest. The best tours, amusement parks, walks in London – all for those who deserve it. A pleasant surprise is that absolutely everything you need will be provided to you. Preparation of documents and visas, flight, accommodation, transfer, meals and other financial concerns are fully taken care of by the Boris Kolesnikov Charitable Foundation.

Borisa Kolesnikov himself will also provide useful tips and information needed for successful tours on his Facebook page. He will share his own experience, knowledge and simply useful things for everyone. Therefore, be sure to follow Boris Viktorovych’s page!

You must be thinking that I forgot to mention Tokyo? No, I did not forget! This year, for the first time, a new competition – «Programmer 2018» – will be held together with «Aviator». It is clear that students whose specialties are related to information technologies of 1-6 courses of all forms of education have the right to participate in it. The terms of the competition are somewhat similar to the terms of «Aviator». There is no detailed information about passing the tests yet. If you are interested in the competition, do not be lazy to follow the updates on the website of the charitable foundation. The final of the competition will be held in March 2018.

However, we know more pleasant details. As in the first competition, the best 30 students will be selected here, who will fly to Tokyo, where they will also study, rest, get to know themselves from new sides and just have a great time.
