Post-doctoral internship program at Ariel University, Israel 2016-2017.

In order to strengthen international academic ties, young and promising scientists who wish to undergo a post-doctoral internship at the research centers of Ariel University in Israel are invited. Candidates accepted into the study program will receive a monthly stipend of 6,000 shekels for two years starting on November 1, 2016.

For reference: Ariel University has firmly established itself as one of the leading educational institutions in Israel. A technology park operates on its territory, modern technologies are developed, and theoretical research is conducted. This allows students to participate in research projects and have the necessary practical experience while studying. Ariel University has developed a multi-level training program for future specialists, starting with preparatory academic courses and ending with doctoral studies. More than 13,000 students study at 26 departments of the University.

Requirements for candidates:

1. Up to 10 years after obtaining a Ph.D degree or equivalent;

2. The age at the time of application must not exceed 40 years;

3. Availability of at least two scientific publications in journals recognized in the candidate’s field of research;

4. Proficiency in English.

The requirements listed above are minimum and mandatory for participation in the program.

Registration process:

Before completing the application, the candidate must contact the teacher of Ariel University, who is interested in training the prospective applicant, based on laboratories or research centers. Information about various laboratories can be found at the following link:

Selected candidates must meet the academic level of education, know the main research directions in the chosen topic of future research and have a good level of English. Notification of admission to study will be sent by 07/20/16. The process of submitting an application for training is ongoing.

Instructions for applying for training:

1. The candidate presents his candidacy as an employee from the teaching staff of the chosen faculty;

2. The applicant must provide the following documents:

A. Filled and signed questionnaire (DOC, 124 KB) for training;

B. Copies of educational documents (bachelor’s, master’s, candidate of sciences)

S. CV (Curriculum Vitae) in English, together with a list of publications;

D. Summary of doctoral/PhD thesis (one page).

E. The candidate’s proposed research program (on two pages). The research program must be prepared together with the head (employee of Ariel University).

F. The results of the international test to check the level of knowledge of the English language, -EFL (English as a Foreign Language);

G. Two letters of recommendation;

The absence of one of the listed accompanying documents may serve as an obstacle to considering the applicant’s candidacy.
