About renaming toponyms
In accordance with the Law of Ukraine dated 04/09/2015 No. 317-VIII «On Condemnation of the Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) Totalitarian Regimes in Ukraine and the Prohibition of Propaganda of Their Symbolism», the mayor adopted Order No. 83r dated 02/22/2016 regarding the renaming of toponyms of the city’s subordination and the dismantling of the city’s monumental art objects Zaporizhzhia (you can get more detailed information on the Zaporizhzhia City Council website zgik@meriazp.gov.ua).
In order to inform the population of the district, the district administration of the Zaporizhzhia City Council in the Zhovtnev district provides a list of new names of squares, boulevards, streets, alleys, thoroughfares, avenues, squares, squares or other objects of toponymy, the names of which contained symbols of the communist totalitarian regime.
