Presentation of the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program for students and teachers
We invite students, graduate students, and university teachers to a meeting with representatives of the Institute of International Education, the Fulbright Program in Ukraine. You will learn about the opportunities provided by the Program, the conditions for participating in competitions for receiving Fulbright scholarships for studying in master’s programs or conducting research at US universities.
The presentation will take place at a. 320 of the main building February 05, 2020. Presentation begins at 10:00.
The Fulbright Program offers the following annual competitions:
for senior students and graduates of higher education institutions:
Fulbright Graduate Student Program: Study at American universities for one to two years to obtain a master’s degree. Senior students and graduates of higher education institutions can participate in the competition. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree at the time of awarding the scholarship.
for young teachers and researchers:
Fulbright Research and Development Program: Conducting research at US universities for a period of six to nine months. The competition is open to persons under the age of 40 with two years of professional experience: teachers; postgraduate students and researchers who do not yet have a scientific degree; candidates of sciences (no later than 5 years after defense); administrators of higher education institutions; employees of research institutions; journalists; specialists in library, museum and archival affairs; specialists in the field of cultural management; employees of public organizations (NGOs).
Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program: Internship in teaching Ukrainian (assistance to American teachers) at US universities/colleges for nine months. The competition is open to beginning teachers and young professionals specializing in linguistics, Ukrainian literature, translation studies, communications, journalism, American studies, and English language teaching. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree by the time the scholarship is awarded (July of the following year).
for candidates and doctors of science, researchers, and specialists:
Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program: Conducting research at US universities, research centers, libraries, museums, archives, etc. for three to nine months. Candidates and doctors of science can participate in the competition; cultural figures, librarians, journalists, lawyers, researchers without a scientific degree – with at least five years of work experience and existing publications in domestic and/or foreign scientific professional publications.
For American scientists, teachers and specialists:
U.S. Fulbright Scholar Program: The program offers grants to American teachers, researchers, administrators and specialists of various fields for teaching, conducting research and teaching/research at higher educational institutions and scientific institutions of Ukraine. The duration of the grant is 5 -10 months.
