Expanding Partnership
Through the efforts of the Department of Systems Analysis and Computational Mathematics, in February 2017, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ukrainian branch of SAS (LLC «САС Инститьют Эл.Эл.Си.» http://www.sas.com ) and Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (ZNTU) on the condition of using SAS on Demand technology in the educational process.
This allowed us to become a participant in the global SAS Academic Program, which is designed for students, researchers, teachers and heads of higher education institutions (HEIs). The program has been operating in many countries around the world since 1976. The goal is – support for universities in studying the latest information technologies in the field of data analysis.
Mastering such tools will allow graduates to apply modern analysis methods in various fields (mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, management, engineering disciplines, etc.) and solve innovative tasks of high complexity.
The company offers a number of opportunities for current students: participation in a number of practical IT projects during their studies, gaining experience working in IT teams as a result of internships and practices in IT companies.
Students who participate in the program have the opportunity to join the global SAS student network, use SAS software and data libraries, and receive a tool for conducting scientific research.
SAS was founded in 1976 and is currently one of the world leaders in the software market, specializing in on the development and sale of solutions and services in the field of business analytics. In 2016, it was among the top three in the World’s Best Employers Ranking ( http://reviews.greatplacetowork.com/2016-worlds-best-list ), which is annually compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute.
In Ukraine, SAS began operating in 2007. Its main customers are large banks, telecommunications companies and state-owned enterprises. Among them are Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Privatbank, Alfa-Bank, Ukrsotsbank, Idea Bank, MTS Ukraine, Metinvest Holding and others.
