The results of the spring Cup of the student town in mini-football
On April 14, the opening of the Spring Campus Mini-Football Cup was held at the ZNU football field near the Mashinka main building, in which students living in ZNU dormitories took part, divided into teams. «Rubin» and «Phoenix» represented dormitory #2, «ZKR ZNTU», of course, the ZKR ZNTU dormitory, and four teams were presented by the organizers of the tournament, dormitory #4 – «Student», «Bomb», «Titan» and «Mashinka». The tournament was held according to the system of group selection, which was followed by the semifinals and the final.
The opening ceremony began with a match between the winners of the previous tournament – the teams «Titan» and «Phoenix». The victory was won by the members of «Phoenix», creating moments throughout the game.
On the first day, Monday, the following group selection matches also took place:
- «Student» – «Ruby» – 2:1;
- «Phoenix» – «Titan» – 1:0;
- «Mashinka» – «ZKR ZNTU» – 4:0.
On Tuesday:
- «Student» – «Machine» – 6:0;
- «ZKR ZNTU» – «Rubin» – 2:1;
- «Bomb» – «Phoenix» – 1:1.
Later, the results of the group stage of the game were summarized:
- «SKR ZNTU» – «Student» – 3:3;
- «Bomb» – «Titan» – 3:2;
- «Rubin» – «Mashinka» – 3:0.
On April 17, the semi-finals took place, in which the teams «ZKR ZNTU», «Bomb», «Student» and «Phoenix» took part.
The first match did not lose its intrigue during almost the entire match. The game was goal-to-goal, so the score was very tentative. Nevertheless, «ZKR ZNTU» skillfully defended and counterattacked and in the end held the advantage until the final whistle – 3:1!
The second semi-final presented an even more intense game, during which it was not possible to single out a favorite at all, but the score on the scoreboard was the victory of «Student» over «Phoenix» – 1:0.
And already on April 18, the «grand finale» of the Student Campus Cup was held, in which the teams «ZKR ZNTU» (ZKR ZNTU dormitory) and «Student» (dormitory No. 4) won gold medals. The moral advantage was on the side of «Student», because even in the early stages of the tournament they held firm and won confident victories, but «ZKR ZNTU» was limited to often minimal shaky victories.
The teams didn’t have time to «feel out» each other when an unfortunate own goal happened. The goalkeeper of «ZKR ZNTU» could not receive the ball, which was passed to him by the defender. But this did not affect the spirit of ZKR ZNTU, and they continued to show a good level. After exchanging several attacks, they managed to equalize the score, and soon took the lead altogether. After some time, they scored another goal and this marked the further extravaganza and the complete inability of «Student» to counter the rapid counterattacks. The unscored penalty was the completion of the game, so the match ended with the score 6:2 due to the almost complete dominance of ZKR ZNTU.
Kebba Kani, a legionnaire of the «Student» team, became the best scorer of the ZNTU campus spring cup. He scored 7 goals during the tournament. The best player of the tournament was Shestyr Kyryl, a player of the ZKR ZNTU team, who scored a hat-trick in the final match.
A special highlight of this tournament was the competition among girls, where the football players of the 4th dormitory of ZNTU celebrated their victory, defeating the 3rd national team with a score of 1:0.

«I want to congratulate the players of the ZKR ZNTU team on winning the ZNTU Student Campus Cup.
Unlike previous years, teams from three dormitories took part in this competition, and this distinguishes it from previous tournaments. The tournament has become more interesting, the number of strong teams has increased. This was confirmed by the victory of ZKR ZNTU. This year was the first tournament in which there were no clear favorites in advance.
I would like to thank those people who helped organize the competition. This is Svitlana Ivanivna Atamanyuk, head of the Department of Games and Olympic Sports, Iryna Viktorivna Puschyna, dean of the FUFKS, Andrii Volodymyrovych Ivanchenko, head of the trade union committee of ZNTU students, Vadim Mykolayovych, director of ZNTU Dubina campus.
