Results of the first stage of the ACM Programming Olympiad
On April 25, 2015, the 1st stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in ACM programming (regional) took place at the Zaporizhzhia National University. Stage I of the Olympiad is also the 1/8 finals of the ACM International Student Programming Olympiad.
The Olympiad was sponsored by the following IT companies: IBM, DataX, Group BWT. In total, 34 teams from 7 universities of Zaporizhzhia region took part in the regional stage of the student programming Olympiad.
Zaporizhzhia National Technical University (ZNTU) was represented at the Olympiad by 14 teams from 5 departments. Note that this is a record number of teams from ZNTU for the entire duration of the Olympiad.
The Department of Software of ZNTU was represented by 7 teams at the Olympiad:

ZNTU_BroForce: Birulya Ihor Ihorovych, Grabovska Yuliia Olehivna, KNT-423, II year (part-time);
ZNTU_ForsakenTeam: Dmytro Serhiyevich Glazunov, KNT-414, Denys Andreyovych Zaitsev, Ilyin Eduard Mykhailovych, KNT-424, 1st year;
ZNTU_Breakdown: Yehor Mykolayovych Tkachuk, KNT-114, 1st year, Kostiantyn Serhiyovych Kolosov, Stepura Roman Vitaliyovych, RT-113, 2nd year (combined team of the department of software tools and the department of information technologies of electronic devices).
Coach of teams? Nataliia Oleksiivna Mironova, senior teacher of the Department of Software Tools. It should also be noted that the ZNTU_ByteShift team took an active part in the preparation of freshman teams.

Department of systems analysis and computational mathematics of ZNTU was represented at the Olympiad by the team ZNTU_KernelPanic: Oleksandr Anatoliyovych Chebotaryov, Daria Yuriivna Babets, Serhii Vadimovych Koval, KNT-812, III year.
Coach of the team? graduate student of the Department of System Analysis and Computational Mathematics Shirokorad Dmytro Viktorovych.
The Department of Information Protection of ZNTU was represented at the Olympiad by the team ZNTU_TheStrangers: Danylo Vadymovych Humenyak, Serhiy Ubozhenko, Yevhen Bilotserkovskiy, RT-814, 1st year.
Coach of the team? Associate Professor of the Department of Information Protection Nelasa Hanna Viktorivna.
Winners of the region in the absolute standings:
– first place was won by the team ZNTU_SetUp (ZNTU);
– second place went to the teams BSPU_Code_junkies (Berdyansk State Pedagogical University) and ZNTU_Kappatalize (ZNTU);
– in 3rd place – teams ZNTU_ByteShift (ZNTU), Tavria2 (Tavria State Agricultural Technological University) and ZSEA Luckyteam (Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy).
