Results of a guest online lecture by a military psychologist
On November 24, the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University organized and held a guest online lecture on the topic «Correction of negative psychological states of a person acquired while in extreme conditions: recommendations of a military psychologist».
The guest lecturer – Olha Suprun – military psychologist, head of the psychological support service of the 23rd separate public order brigade «Khortytsia» of the National Guard of Ukraine, a graduate of the Department of Psychology of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine) – not only spoke about current techniques for working with traumatic experiences, but also demonstrated them in action in working with individual participants; shared her own experience and answered numerous questions from the participants. The lecture was held in the format of a workshop, during which the participants were introduced to the EMDR IGTP Protocol, the technique «Transforming Failure into Feedback» by Robert Dilts, the NLP techniques «Introducing Resources», «Creating Internal Balance», «The Light That Inspires», etc.
The lecture participants — bachelor’s and master’s degree students in the specialty 053 «Psychology» and the guests of the event — were greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences — Taisiya Gayvoronska. Among those present were also representatives of the Department of Psychology — Acting Head of the Department Vladislav Koval, Associate Professors Tetyana Borodulkina and Iryna Bondarevych, students of the specialty 053 «Psychology» of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, fellow teachers from the Dniprorudnensky Industrial Vocational College, employees of the Department of Psychological Support of the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, psychologists and social workers of the Charity Fund «Caritas Zaporizhzhia»; Master’s degree students-psychologists of Zaporizhzhia National University, applicants for the specialty «Psychology» of Mariupol State University, Grigoriy Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav, representatives of various charitable organizations, social and psychological services, etc.
The online lecture was attended by about 120 guests from different parts of Ukraine (Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kyiv, Dniprorudne, Sloviansk, Nikopol, Pereyaslav, Odessa, etc.), as well as those who are temporarily abroad (Poland, Germany, China).
The guest lecture was held as part of the study by first-year master’s degree students-psychologists of the elective academic discipline «Military Psychology» (OP 053 «Psychology»), lecturer – acting head of the Department of Psychology, candidate of pedagogy. Sciences, Associate Professor Vladyslav Koval.
Within a month, each registered guest will receive an electronic certificate of lecture participant from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
